How to View Pricing Computations

DesignSmart gives you a lot of control over pricing. For example, you can include the pricing of the component items with that of their primary item.

For example, if the sell price of a chair is $1,000 and the sell price of the fabric component is $250, then you can click on the Include Components button so that on the proposal and invoice the client would only see the price of the and the price would be $1,250.

Another option is to include sub-charges with the price of the item. In this case let's assume the sell price of a chair is $1,000 and the freight for the chair is $88.50. When you set the proposal and invoice to "Include Freight Sub-charge" then on the proposal and invoice the client would see the price of the chair as $1,088.50.

While this level of control is advantageous for your firm, it means that some serious math can be required to determine the price that will appear on a proposal and invoice for an item. Fortunately, DesignSmart will do the math for you and show you the computations.
