When using the DesignSmart Companion, if you leave the Project Name blank, you will save the images and data to a product. An item will not be created and the product will not be linked to an item or a product. But because it is now in the library, it can be linked to an item in the future.
If you add a Project Name and Item Name in the Companion side panel (as shown in the image to the right), then you will save the images and data to an item in a project. A product will also be automatically created and added to the product library.
