Setting up Policies

Required Policy Statements

Federal regulations require that an online payment site have the following policies easy accessible for buyers:

1.Terms and Conditions

2.Secure Checkout Policy

3.Refund Process

4.Delivery Process

5.Data Privacy Policy

6.Customer Service Contract

Not all online payment sites include this information, but we feel that it is in your best interest to comply with the regulations.

Fortunately, PaySmart includes text for all of the policies. You will want to read over these policies and modify them to meet your firm's specific requirements.


Editing the Policy Text

To edit the default policy text:

Click on the Gear in the top right corner of every screen to go to System Preferences (1)

Click on PaySmart (2)

Click on Policies (3)

Then click on the required policy tab and the Edit button
