QuickBooks Desktop and DesignSmart

QuickBooks Desktop Connector Licensing

One QuickBooks Desktop Connector license is required for each user who is going to push or pull data between DesignSmart and QuickBooks desktop.

This person will require a license of DesignSmart, the QB Connector and QuickBooks.

Only those persons who have these licenses and have the software configured can push and pull data between the two systems.

Creating Invoices and Purchase Orders

When a user who has the QuickBooks Connector creates an invoice or a purchase order, the transaction is pushed immediately to QuickBooks.

When a user who does not have the QuickBooks Connector creates an invoice or a purchase order, the transaction is retained in the "Process Transaction" queue until a person with the QB Connector pushes it to QuickBooks.

Editing Invoices and Purchase Orders

When a user who has the QuickBooks Connector edits an invoice or a purchase order, the transaction is updated immediately in QuickBooks.

When a user who does not have the QuickBooks Connector edits an invoice or a purchase order, the transaction is retained in the "Process Transaction" queue until a person with the QB Connector pushes it to QuickBooks to update the corresponding transaction.
