New DesignSmart Clients
When you first start using DesignSmart and if you have been using QBO previously, you will want to pull down all of the clients you have in QBO to DesignSmart. The section Pulling Clients explains how to do this.
Adding Clients
While DesignSmart can push clients to QBO, as of December 2018 QBO does not allow DesignSmart to push projects to QBO.
For this reason we recommend that new clients and projects be added to QBO first, then link the project in QBO to the equivalent project in DesignSmart.
When the project in QBO is linked to the project in DesignSmart, the client for that project in QBO will automatically be added to DesignSmart.
How to tell if a client in DesignSmart is in QBO?
On the Address Book Detail view, a green box with the white letters "QB" will indicate if the client is in QBO.
