Merge fields allow you to indicate where you want specific information to appear. In DesignSmart a merge field in denoted with a pair of brackets such as [FirstName]. You can place merge fields in the Default Email Text for Proposals, as an example, so that when the email is created the merge field will be replaced with the client's first name.
Below are a list of available merge fields.
Proposals
