You can link a product to an item by using the product's Product ID.
Below is a console in the Brooks Remodel that we now want to specify for a different client.
| Step 1 | Copy the Product ID shown below |
| Step 2 | Go to the item in the other project that you want to set to the console |
| Step 3 | The item already has a Product ID number that was created when the item was created. Click the Clear button and confirm when prompted. |
| Step 4 | Copy or enter the Product ID in the field shown below then click the Link button |
| Step 5 | The console that was first specified for the Brooks Remodel is now linked to the Ciani/Heise Remodel project. |
HINT: As mentioned in the section Product IDs, you can change any Product Number to a word or phrase.
So if there is a base sofa you use frequently, you could assign its Product ID "Base Sofa". Then in Step 4 you could enter Base Sofa since it would be easy to remember.
Or another possibility is if you are working on the Ciani project and specify a blue fabric that you know you will use again in the project, you might change its Product ID to "Ciani blue fabric".
