When a product is created, it will automatically be assigned a Product ID number.
But these long complicated ID numbers are hard to remember, so you can change the ID number to anything you want.
In the screen shot below, the designer set "White Chair" as the Product ID.
The only limitation when setting a Product ID is that the ID be unique.
