Adding items in DesignSmart has just been made easier. By adding a default unit of measure to your categories DesignSmart can easily add that unit of measure to the item when you create it.

Where can I find the Default Unit of Measure list?
You can access this by going to your System Settings>Categories.
Once this column is filled out then items with these categories will automatically load the unit of measure for you.
