Editing Proposals

New clients will sometimes ask how they can edit a proposal. The answer is that once you create a proposal in DesignSmart it cannot be edited. It can be deleted, but not edited.

The reasoning is that a proposal includes a proposal date, a proposal number, a certain list of items and a total price.  Taken in combination they represent an offer by your firm. To allow an existing proposal to be edited would introduce a world of confusion for both the client and the design firm.

However, many design firms will submit various proposals to a client before the client is satisfied and finally approves one of them. DesignSmart provides for this by allowing items to be included on multiple proposals.
