Projects are a core aspect of the DesignSmart system. Projects are the jobs that a design firm takes on. Projects generally are set up with the following types of information:
1.Project Name 2.Project ID 3.The client associated with the project 4.The project address 5.The ship to addresses for the project 6.The designers assigned to the project
All projects have a project status. Below are a list of the standard statuses.
| Active | These are projects you are actively working on. Usually they become active when the client accepts a proposal and the status is changed from Open to Active. If the project is fee based, or for other reasons, the project can be set to Open at the time the project is created. |
| Open | These are projects that have been created for the purpose of creating a proposal, but the proposal has not been approved by the client. When the client accepts a proposal, the status will be change to Active. Otherwise the status will be changed to Inactive. |
| Completed | These are projects that have been completed. |
| Inactive | These are projects that have proposals that were not accepted or projects that are put on hold. |
